M&K Photography - Gloucestershire Wedding Photographers
Natural, relaxed and beautiful wedding photography in Gloucestershire, The Cotswolds, Stroud and across the UK
"We are here to tell the story of your day, as it happened, so that you can look back on it again and again, for the rest of your lives"
M&K Photography is a wedding and lifestyle photography team based near Stroud, Gloucestershire comprising of Ben Kirby & Paul Meredith. With over 13 years experience in wedding photography between us and a chance meeting we are now working together to give you a different wedding photography experience for your big day.
With two photographers included in both of our wedding packages you get all of the added benefits that come with that such as the ability to have both bridal and groom preparations captured, multiple angles of your wedding day photographed and ultimately extra fully edited photographs in your final product.
We are documentary wedding photographers who are there to tell the story of your day for whatever amount of time we are there. As such we will not spend all day asking your guests to smile or to pose for photographs, instead we will simply capture the smiles, laughs and tears as they happen.
We will use mainly natural light to capture your day but that's not to say that if the opportunity arises we won't set up some lights to capture that special sunset or evening shot around your venue.
We are also available for destination weddings across the UK, Europe and beyond. Please contact us for a chat about your weddings and a bespoke quote .
All of your processed images will be available for your to download via your own personal, password protected online gallery. We do not place any limits to the amount of final images you receive. If the image helps tell the story of your day it will be there in the gallery.

How soon should we book a wedding photographer?Honestly... As soon as possible. But we would say that right.. With anything wedding related to weddings its always best to book early so you are not left disappointed. Wedding photographers regularly book up at least 12 months in advance some times more. That being said there is nothing wrong with sending us a message any time to see if we are able to help or recommend someone who can.
-
There are so many Wedding Photographers to choose from.. How do we pick?Well first and foremost you should ask yourself the question will i get on with this person. You will spend a lot of time speaking with your photographer leading up to your wedding and will spend a fair bit of time with them on your wedding day. This is why we always like to meet our clients before we book to make sure the chemistry is there. Secondary to this is do you like the photographers work.. Remember these images will be with you for the rest of your life.. If you can answer yes to both of these points .. Then sign the booking forms then and there and relax knowing your in good hands.

What is a pre wedding shoot and why should we have one?Quite simply a pre wedding shoot is a time where we can get together and get to know each other a little better before your special day. We will go for a walk together somewhere quiet, have a laugh oh and we will bring the camera along and get some shots of your both. This gives you the opportunity to get used to being in front of the camera, to see how we work oh and more importatly get you some amazing shots together that you can use for things like save the date cards, wedding invites or just to frame and hang on the wall.
-
Are you the type of photographers that are always in peoples faces?Absolutely not. For 90% of the wedding day you will not even know we are there. We will be in the background capturing your day as it unfolds. That other 10% is reserved for when we need to be in control. This is during the family/group shots and during your Bride groom portraits. Other than that we will just leave you to your day.
-
Do you photography formal/family group shots? The simple answer to this is yes. Of course we will if that is important to you and what you want from your wedding. That being said you do need to consider that each group shot you request will take around 3-4 minutes to complete by the time you have gathered the required people, arranged them for the shot and then taken the shot. Just 10 group shots can take as long as 40 minutes to get through meaning your guests are waiting around outside for that period of time as they wait their turn. This could be an issue for any elderly relatives or people with young children who will inevitibly get bored.. We recommend keeping your group shot list to a minimum to allow you to spend more time with your guests and enjoying the wedding you have spent so long planning.
-
How many photos can we expect to receive?First off no two weddings are the same and as such it is going to be nearly impossible to provide an exact figure. We would always aim to deliver in excess of 500 fully edited high resolution images from a full day at a wedding. Smaller packages will obviously result in less images.
-
How long will it take to receive our imagesA popular question.. As standard we aim to have all galleries edited and delivered to our couples within 28 days. But who wants to wait that long.. Why not take advantage of our 7 day turnaround edit which is an added extra to either of our wedding packages.
-
Can you provide prints along side your digital package?Of course. Your secure gallery has the option to order things like prints, canvasses and other physical producs direct from the site. Images are sent ditectly to your door from one of the UK's best printing labs. If you share your gallery with your guests they can also take advantage of ordering from there too.
-
How do we order an album from you?Once you have had the chance to look through your gallery and decide you would like an album just send us an email to get the ball rolling. We will be able to give you the available options and up to date costs. You will then be asked to select a number of images for us to use to custom build your album for you. You will be sent the final design to approve before we order and you will be given the opportunity to make any changes you need.
-
Are there any hidden extras/costs?As far as the actual wedding goes there are no hidden costs. The price you see is the price you pay. The only time there may be a small additional chage is if your ceremony is over 2 hours from the GL10 postcode we would require accomodation the night before the wedding to reduce the risk of traffic delays etc.
-
What if you are not able to shoot our wedding due to illness? One of the biggest benefits of having two photographers is that the chances of us both being ill on the same day are extremely low. So at a worse case there would be at least one photographer there to capture your wedding. Also we have a lot of contacts in the Wedding Photography world and would normally be willing to find another photographer to step in to help out on the day.
-
Are you insured?Of course. We hold full liability and indemnity insurance.
-
Will you write a blog our wedding? The short answer is yes.. But if for any reason you would rather not feature on our blog please us know.
-
How do we book?We have made the process as simple as possible. All you need to book is sign our contract and pay the deposit. Our deposit is set at 30% of your total balance and is due at the time of booking. Our Wedding photography contract also needs to be signed. This can all be done through our convenient online booking portal. Please note that your date is not secure until both of these things have been received.
